FAQ
The questions homeowners actually ask us.
Sixteen answers covering estimates, building, remodeling, and weekly service. If yours is not here, call and ask.
Estimates & scheduling
Send us a few details about your pool or project and we call you back, usually the same business day. For most work we schedule a free on-site visit, walk the property with you, and follow up with a written scope and price.
Clearwater, St. Petersburg, Palm Harbor, Tarpon Springs, Largo, Dunedin, Safety Harbor, Seminole, and the rest of Pinellas County.
We look at the pool and equipment, talk through what you want to change, check access for equipment and materials, and give you a realistic range before you commit to anything.
We work with third-party lenders on builds and larger remodels, and we can hand you the application at the estimate. Service and repair work is billed as completed, with no financing needed.
Building a pool
Design and selections, permitting, excavation, steel and plumbing, shell, tile and coping, decking, equipment set, interior finish, then start-up and a walkthrough where we show you how to run everything.
Most Pinellas County builds run several months from permit to swim, depending on scope, inspection scheduling, and weather. You get a schedule up front, and we tell you as soon as anything moves.
Usually. Access is the deciding factor: we need a path wide enough for equipment, and sometimes a panel or two comes out and goes back after. We check all of that at the estimate, not on dig day.
Structural, surface, and equipment each carry their own terms, and equipment warranties come from the manufacturer. You get all of it in writing with the contract rather than as a verbal promise.
Remodeling & repairs
Resurfacing replaces the interior finish only. If the tile, coping, lighting, or equipment are aging too, doing them together as a remodel usually costs less than tackling each piece separately over the next few years.
Almost always. Variable-speed pumps, cartridge filters, LED lights, and automation all retrofit onto older systems. We will also tell you which upgrades are worth it for your pool and which are not.
A straight resurfacing is usually a couple of weeks including the water-balancing period. Adding tile, coping, or deck work extends that. We give you the drain date and the refill date before we start.
Yes. Pump failures, heater faults, and leaks get triaged ahead of routine work. Call the office line and describe what the equipment is doing and we will tell you honestly how fast we can be there.
Weekly service
Weekly is the norm here. Heat, rain, pollen, and screen enclosures push chemical demand up faster than in most of the country, and a pool left for two weeks in July is a much bigger job to recover.
Skim, brush, and vacuum as needed, empty the baskets, check filter pressure, test and dose the water, and look over the equipment. You get a note after every visit covering what was done and anything we are watching.
Yes. Most of our weekly service and repair customers have pools that somebody else built.
Call or send the form. We confirm your address falls on an existing route, then give you a start date and the day of the week your tech will come.
